Over the Christmas holidays, KiB was championed by The Times and Sunday Times Christmas Appeal. Thank you to all the students and healthcare staff who helped us showcase our work.
Although the appeal has now closed, its impact will stay with us for years to come. It helped us raise much-needed funds to underpin our work, ensuring that we can keep our vibrant projects running in hospitals, care homes and the community. And just as importantly, the appeal has raised our profile and put us in touch with new people who will help us drive through change.
KiB CEO Jill Fraser says: “It was such an honour to be chosen as one of the three charities championed by The Times and Sunday Times Christmas Appeal, and it was such a brilliant experience to work with the reporting teams.
“When we started KiB in 2009 as a simple website of ideas to help vulnerable older people, I could never have imagined we would come this far – working with thousands of young people a year, and bringing old and young together to they understand each other better.”
